Across the Cloud Forests of the Chiapas Highlands
After a restful layover in Palenque I was looking forward to moving on. My plan: ride over the Chiapas Highlands and through the rainforest to San Cristobal de las Casas via Ocosingo. Only 160 kms. How hard could it be?
Rio Motagua by Cayuca
Wild trek through the jungle to the riverside clearing of Finca del Inca. Met Jose and hitched a ride on his cayuca down to the mouth of the Rio Motagua where I rode along the beach to the border.
